Events happening in Delhi in coming months

In Delhi there are a lot of events to be attended every month.

Some of them are scheduled in this and the next month. Pragati Maidan in Delhi is a hub which plays a venue to many such events. Here are some coming up.


International Crafts Day: This one is scheduled to happen on 15th October starting from 1 am in the afternoon till 7 pm in the evening. This event is arranged by the ‘Craft Village’ and one has to book now by paying an amount of Rs 500. On the occasion of the International Craft Day the organisers have decided to celebrate the varieties of crafts this world produce and give an opportunity to the craft lovers to see them, appreciate them and make them their own if they want. Here new artisans will put up their stalls and showcase their art forms. One can register by 30th S3eptember, if they want to participate in this. Not only from India but crafts from all over the world will be showcased here, this includes Kalamkari from Thailand, miniature paintings from Rajasthan, Thangka paintings from North east part of India, Persian miniature paintings and many more. Here the culture flows beyond boundaries.  It is good to see people from all over the world come here in good spirit to present their art works and people come to appreciate them. The exhibition stores will also have sell counters from where people can buy their intricate craft items. Apart from craft stores there will be some food counters serving the people with delicious food items. There are also opportunities for new artistes to showcase their talents. This is happening in the craft village which is located at the West End Greens in New Delhi.


IREE 2017: This is going to happen on 11th October but more dates are also in schedule. It will start from 9 am in the morning. The venue is at Pragati Maidan of Delhi. It is an International Railway Exhibition of Equipments (the 12th IREE 2017) Indian Industry Confederation has organized it (CII) along with the Railway Ministry of Indian Government, is scheduled from 11-13 October 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This will end on 13th October. IREE is said to be one of the huge events organised by the Indian Railways and the employees have an active participation in the entire thing. The senior officials organise the display of the production units in this exhibition and also discuss the future offerings that will be done by the Indian Railways. This venture also felicitates some fruitful partnership and joint ventures along with the technology transfer initiatives. The first IREE exhibition happened in the year 1994 and most of them since then have been hosted in Delhi.

Celebrating the Life & times with Akhand: This is happening on 7th October at the Gandhi Peace Foundation located in central Delhi.
